BITRO Group v. ConTech Lighting (Leviton Manufacturing)

BITRO Group v. American Lighting

Nature of Suit: Patent Infringement

BITRO Group is a New Jersey-based manufacturer of LED lighting products for signage and display. In August 2016 the company went on a patent litigation campaign against six different companies including ILP. In each instance, the case was dismissed months later because the defendant was not served with a case summons.  BITRO Group competes in U.S. markets utilizing patents that the company licenses from a Korean company.  The intellectual property relates to LED tape light and how tape light is mounted.


Satco Products v. Signify North America
Filed: Feb 12, 2021
Nature of Suit: Patent Infringement

In October 2019, Signify sued Satco alleging patent infringement. Now Satco is returning the favor.  Satco alleges that Signify is violating three patents relating to LED lamps and other lighting products that comprise LED filaments.


Satco Products v. Seoul Semiconductor Co.
Filed: Feb 12, 2021
Nature of Suit: Patent Infringement

In 2019, Seoul Semiconductor sued Satco for patent infringement relating to multiple LED driver patents. Now Satco is returning the favor. Satco alleges that Seoul Semiconductor is violating three patents relating to LED Packaging Products and LED Filament Products.


Globe Electric Company v. NICOR Lighting

Nature of Suit: Patent Infringement

Globe accuses NICOR Lighting's DGF & DGC LED Floating Gimbal Series of violating U.S. Patent No. 10,234,091 entitled “Ceiling Mountable LED Light Fixture with Accessible CCT Selectable Switch,”


Heavy Duty Lighting v. RAB Lighting
Filed: Jan 19, 2021
Nature of Suit: Patent Infringement

Heavy Duty accuses RAB Lighting of violating U.S. Patent No. 8,399,899 entitled "LIGHT EMITTING DEVICE." The complaint cites various flood lights and the RAB Lighting Triboro Roadway light as infringing products.
